Who we are

ViralPony is operated by Power Leaders LLC (“we”, “us”), 164 4th St E, Sonoma, CA 95476, United States. We provide content creation and distribution software, and we are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at support@viralpony.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we never see them in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
• Your brand and content: the website addresses you submit, logos you upload, the brand details and content angles you review and edit, the posts you create, and the schedules you set.
• Messages: what you send us when you contact us.

Information we collect when you use ViralPony

• Website content: when you submit a website, we read a limited number of its public pages to write your brand brief. We follow the site’s robots.txt rules and only read pages on the same site.
• Usage records: which actions you take that use your plan’s allowances, such as generating content, so we can keep your balance accurate.
• Technical information: like most online services, our servers record basic request information such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, for security and to fix problems.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive information about your subscription and payments, such as the plan, amount, date and payment status.

How we use information

• To provide ViralPony: to create your account, read your website, write your brand brief, create and store your posts, and keep your schedule.
• To manage your plan, allowances and payments.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To respond to you and send messages about your account, such as sign-in links and billing notices.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on viralpony.com.

AI processing

ViralPony uses AI models to write brand briefs and content. To do this we send the relevant website content, your brand details and your instructions to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them to return a result to us. Please don’t include sensitive personal information in the brand details or content you give us. Generated content can be inaccurate, so review it before you use it.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run ViralPony, and only as needed for that work:

• Supabase, for our database, sign-in and file storage.
• Anthropic, for AI processing, as described above.
• Stripe, for payments and billing.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our hosting and email providers, to serve the site and deliver account emails.

Some example media inside the app is loaded from Pexels, a stock media service. When it is shown, your browser requests it from Pexels, which receives your IP address.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. The app also saves a few display preferences in your browser, such as whether the side menu is collapsed. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information and content, except for records we need to keep for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons, such as billing records.

Your choices and rights

You can review and edit your brand details and content in the app. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or give you a copy of your personal information by emailing support@viralpony.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. To delete your account and everything in it, follow the steps on our data deletion page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections, access controls that keep each account’s data separate, and restricted access for our team. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Where information is processed

ViralPony is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using ViralPony, you understand that your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Children

ViralPony is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
